It seems there is a bit of a barrier getting tools like wikis actually adopted by staff, I think there are a few simple solutions that could at least draw people to a wiki as the starting point – with beneficial side effects.
Quiz
Include a quiz on the homepage. Make it team vs team, reward winners weekly/monthly.
Would help build a bit more team spirit and be good elevator chit chat.
